About me

My name is Renka, I’m Japanese and I live in Adelaide, SA, Australia. I’m the owner of Aardvark News.

I started with a small blog in 2006 when I was 13, just for fun and because I wanted to keep up with all the new technologies.

But it didn’t take long before bringing alternative news became the main reason I continued with my website. The Mainstream Mass Media became more and more biased, investigative journalism died a slow and painful death, powerful international organizations started to control the press, pressure from religion and political correctness made it more and more difficult to publicize different sides of a story.

I don’t belong to a political party and I’m an atheist, so I look at the world without prejudice and I try to figure out what is really going on. And a lot of what I see doesn’t make me happy. But I’m not here to bring a feel-good story. I try to show the dangers of extremism, the corruption of politicians, the greed of the financial world. And also, how some try to do their part in making this world a little bit better.

Not that I think my blogs will change something but no one will ever hear you if you keep your mouth shut.

I know that the Internet didn’t live up to its promises: as Mulder used to say: “The Truth Is Out There” but sometimes that truth is hard to find.

So I do my best to sift through the lots of colored and biased news hoping to find a glimpse of what is really happening on this old planet that we share with so many idiots, some bright spirits and lots of ordinary people who are struggling to make a living.

And if some of these folks find something of interest on my pages, then I’m happy.

So I thank you for visiting my site and I hope you will enjoy your stay. If you do, please leave a comment.
